At 44, Mary Kay was astounded to discover that her menstrual cycle could be a partnership rather than a problem to be solved. After years of managing symptoms and trying to live as though she were in the “summer” of her cycle all month long, she began a journey of rediscovering her cycle and learning to honor its natural rhythms. As a mother of a prepubescent daughter, she became passionate about changing the narrative around menstruation for the next generation. As a RYT-200 yoga instructor, she began exploring how the four inner seasons of the menstrual cycle could be embodied through yoga. Drawing from her own transformative experience with yoga, as well as witnessing the power of mindfulness in her work as a counselor, Allegra seeks to equip and empower others to trust their inner wisdom and create meaningful transformation in their lives. Allegra began exploring Menstrual Cycle Awareness as a way to support her emotional well-being and deepen her relationship with herself. Through this practice, she discovered a new way of living in partnership with the many cycles of life. She is passionate about sharing this wisdom with others and inviting them to cultivate a deeper awareness of their own rhythms, seasons, and inner knowing.
