Featuring art and puppetry, Brigid’s Flame will once again bring together our community to reawaken a sense of belonging, wonder, and connection to the earth and one another through the participatory experiences of Song, Dance, Storytelling, and Silence—the “four universal healing salves”—through a mythical retelling of Irish folklore.

Join us in 2027 as Dubuque County Fine Arts Society partners with Groundswell to bring you our second, expanded Brigid’s Flame—sold out in 2026—with an original script, an added matinee performance, artistic leadership from nationally-recognized song leader Te Martin, and improved audience viewing, all while continuing to offer tickets at a sliding scale cost!

Tickets go on Sale December 13!

To honor the importance of people from land-based cultures reclaiming their relationship with land, 5% of proceeds from all ticket sales will be donated to Honor Native Land Fund

Grounded in the Rhythms of Nature…

Our annual celebration takes place on the eve of the feast of Saint Brigid — which in the Irish Calendar signifies the time of the year when the seeds begin to stir, the light begins to grow, and Spring is on its way!

Using art and puppetry, Brigid’s Flame performers will engage the audience in Song, Dance, Story, and Silence as together we explore our human connection to one another, to the earth, and to her creatures.
